About Rocks
Rocks form the Earth’s outer solid layer. Generally they consist of solid aggregate of minerals and/or mineraloids. The rocks are of three types, namely igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. The scientific study of rocks is called petrology.
About Fossils
Fossils are the preserved remains or traces of animals, plants, and other organisms from the geological time range. The study of fossils across geological time is called paleontology.
